Tucked beneath the peaks of the San Juan Mountains, The Coffee Cowboy began as an old horse trailer turned coffee cart, quickly becoming a beloved fixture in the heart of Telluride. For over 30 years, it’s been more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee. It’s where locals start their mornings, where visitors stumble upon their new favorite drink, and where conversations unfold under bluebird skies.

In November 2020, Hailey and Scott took the reins with one goal: to preserve what made The Coffee Cowboy special while tending to its future with care. The goal was never to reinvent it, but to carry its legacy forward with intention, honoring the rhythms of local life while welcoming the energy of those just passing through.

From frothy Annie Oakleys to bacon and cheddar quiches from local bakers, every detail is crafted to reflect the place we call home. Whether you’re fueling up before first chair or catching up with friends at a sunny table, you’re part of something that’s been growing roots in Telluride for decades.
