The Coffee Cowboy is a unique coffee shop nestled in the San Juan mountains of Telluride, Colorado. What was once an old horse trailer, is now the home to frothy lattes, bold coffees, and sweet smiles from our friendly baristas.

Offering an array of coffee drinks from traditional macchiatos to uniquely Coffee Cowboy specialty drinks, such as the Annie Oakley and the Butch Cassidy, there is something for everyone in this neck of the woods. Baked goods made with love by local bakers, such as The Golden Crumb and Thorneycroft Bakery are an excellent treat no matter the time of day. And, if you’re lucky enough, perhaps you’ll even be able to snag a breakfast burrito made by the folks at Mesa Rose Kitchen for a pre-adventure fuel up.

Whether you’re zipping through line to grab a quick coffee on your way to work or utilizing the cozy, sunny outdoor seating area to catch up with a long lost friend, the Cowboy has the inviting, friendly atmosphere you’ve been .

A 27-year established coffee cart located in the heart of Telluride, Hailey and Scott purchased The Coffee Cowboy in November of 2020.  Serving the visiting and local population alike, the little cart has found its place as a Telluride staple and the new owners only hope to continue its long history of providing the perfect latte at a reasonable price.

On any given day, especially the sunny ones, you’ll see familiar faces congregating amongst the tables of the cowboy.  And the owners and team alike take pride in facilitating this social hive. It's a meeting place, a hang out, a residence of idea exchange and a realm to catch up with friends over a fine cup of coffee.  If its your day off and you're looking for something to do, come join us.
